So, I like the Sugababes

Sugababes 2.0 that is.

Ever since Mutya left I fear it has become a marketing ploy, even though some of the charisma and genius music still remains, Mutya's solo stuff sounds a lot more promising, which can be heard here.
The Sugababes, Mutya and Lily Allen are currently my favourite music artists of the moment. Lily Allen for her ability to tell a story in a song and properly use lyrics to full effect, and the Sugababes because of their creative and experimental genius; hits like Round Round, Freak Like Me and Push The Button cannot be beaten.

Seems sunny today, the only day that I have to babysit the brats and I can't go out and enjoy the sunshine. I also desperately need to visit Leeds City Centre to get kitted out for the party tonight, not only do I not have anything new to wear, but everything I have worn has been seen and noted by many fashion conscious individuals at sixth form and it would be social suicide to wear the same thing twice. Ahh the lives of people my age...however, PAY DAY on Friday! All this though will be spent upon driving lessons, the last instructor tried to cadge me out of money, after 24 lessons I hadn't even drove home OR done manoeuvres (sp?). Not being professional myself, the chatter of my friends told me that I should have drove home after my third lesson, if not less. That's the last time I use THAT company.

No doubt the party tonight will be good, although seen as I'm not 18 just yet, there is always that small amount of sweat and shaky hands as I approach the door the club. Any hint of them asking for ID's I hide my face and try to slowly walk through the door. Luckily, I have been told I have an 'older' face, though this doesn't stop 20 stone bouncers pushing me out onto the street. I think this is the only time in my life I will wish to be older.

I'm sure I'll update the blog with tales of tonight, but until tomorrow (or unless I get bored later on today) ciao!

Big Brother: I

Well I have to admit, I am an addict of Big Brother. Each year I psyche myself up for the new edition, scouring forums a week before for new rumours and glimps' of the house. I know, it's sad and I really should get out more, but it is cleverly edited and always keeps me entertained so why not? I give in to most of my temptations, why not this?

So far it has been the best Big Brother so far. Yeah, two three housemates have gone so far, but that adds to the quality of the show! Plus the developing characters and on-screen bitchiness is always a plus point.

Sam (new housemate) seems the best in there. She's the most entertaining, bar Pete who is always hilarious when he's in the diary room, and is someone who I can relate to. PLEASE DO NOT THINK I WANT TO DILUTE MY MASCULINITY, THIS IS NOT THE CASE! I am fine with who I am and what I've become and in no way do I want to be a woman. It's the fact that I can relate to her/him/it. She has a certain temperament that I admire so much, but I'm not sure whether she does it out of scaredness, instability or to boost her self confidence, but she openly admits to being a transvestite. We all have our little secrets, and I have mine along with other ones sitting right beside it, and for her to come out with it so easily and effortlessly is something I wish I could do. No amount of alcohol or other stimulant would ever make me be so upfront, not at this point in my life anyway. Certain barriers stand in my way which soon I wish to break down. Hopefully this blog can help me with that?

Anyway, back to the important topic of Big Brother. I liked Lisa, she was something different but now I think her priorities need to be concrete and not keep faffing about between Pete and the plastics. PETE DOESN'T LIKE YOU, get used to it. Lea, she's a tough cookie and brings moral values to the house, she may look like a vain bitch and have a mouth dirty enough to be cleaned twice with the dettol, but at least she's down to earth. Grace and Imogen need to stop flaunting their looks to gain attention, and then disprove the fact that they're not playing up to the cameras. Sezer also should stop pretending to act like he is a game player when in fact he just looks like a desperate puppy. Yes, the sadness of my life is creeping up on me. I shall have to now brainwash myself with Lost, though I'm sure the writers make it up as they go along - anyone else agree?

Meagre Beginnings

First blog. If this works, wahey I'm in. I feel this becoming the first stages in a long, cyber friendship between me and my keyboard.
The many times I have tried to write a diary and later found close relatives flipping from page to page as I walk in the room, nonchalantly closing it and smiling as they walk past me has stopped me from ever wanting to write, or for that sake publish, my thoughts ever again. Blogger has changed my mind, due to reading other people's problems, solutions and daily qualms and evaluating that some of them are similar if not exactly identical to mine.

Myspace unfortunately doesn't have the same possibilities of being solely for the cleverly written wittisisms of it's members, just the vain Myspace-Junkie-Taking-Pictures-Down-A-Wall-Syndrome as my friend likes to call it; so I may have a small dosage of this illness, but everyone shows off sometimes. Ok, is it only me?

I'd like to describe myself as a Xenomaniac; an individual with an open mind who is willing to embrace foreign cultures and people or opinions which are different to one's own. It's second explanation could be an addiction to everything ever done by the production house Xenomania famous for it's input into most the best pop records to date, from all of Girls Aloud's Chemistry album, to the likes of the Sugababes and Cher. Yes, these people are Gods and I would like you all to take a minute out to worship them. Minute over? Good, now add to your music collection everything ever done by these musical genius' (or should it be genii?) and listen attentively to the masterful production and lyrical quality.

A little about me. I'm approaching 18, attend a Sixth Form in leeds and studying my AS levels, consisting of: French, Religious Education, English Language and Media. Hopefully I am going to do work experience in Switzerland in the summer (the french side, of course!) and am trying to get a place at Westminster University to study Public Relations, failing that I'm thinking of going to Manchester to do French and linguistics so any experience of any of these places or subjects and your opinions on them would be much appreciated.

My aim is to describe the events in my somewhat exciting life, ok most of it is spent doing college work and rushed assignments, but the free time I do have will be put into making this at the least readable. Don't abuse me if it isn't too good, but I will try my best to sound interesting. In the meantime here are a few links of mine that I have recently found and have kept me amused for a while:
